Great Bay Community College Dual/Concurrent Enrollment Agreement with St. Thomas Aquinas High School

St. Thomas Aquinas High School is proud to announce our partnership with Great Bay Community College through a dual/concurrent enrollment program!

Through this partnership, STA students can take college-level courses at GBCC—an exceptional opportunity to get a head start on college, explore new interests, and take an important step toward their future.

This outstanding program allows students to earn college credits, save on tuition, and prepare for college and career pathways with confidence—opening doors, expanding opportunities, and reflecting our commitment to investing in our students’ future success.

Program Highlights

Two FREE courses per year for STA students.

Additional courses at half price (approximately $375 per course).

Courses available on campus at GBCC or online.

Out-of-state STA students (including those from Maine) receive the same benefits.

Academic and Career Opportunities

Wide selection of college-level classes, including advanced math and career-prep courses in:

  • Trades
  • Computer Science and Coding
  • Nursing Assistant
  • Engineering and Technical Fields

A more affordable and accessible alternative to other early college programs.

Earning Credit at STA

  • Students can earn ½ elective credit per course, provided the class is not already offered at STA.
  • Courses will appear on the STA transcript as college-level independent studies.
  • Courses may not replace STA graduation requirements or core subjects.
  • One course per semester may count for STA elective credit.
  • Available to Juniors and Seniors.

Accessibility
Students with accommodation plans are welcome to participate. GBCC’s Disabilities Office will work with families to ensure appropriate academic supports are in place.
