How to Apply
Your child brings more than grades to an application. At St. Thomas Aquinas, we take the time to learn about each student’s strengths, interests, character, and goals. We consider academic progress, teacher recommendations, written responses, and involvement in school and community activities to understand how your child could grow and contribute at STA.
Whether your child is entering ninth grade or transferring from another high school, our admissions team is here to guide your family through each step.
Step 1: Complete Your Online Application
The 2027–2028 application is now open!
Visit our application portal and follow the instructions to create or access your account. Complete the application, including the required written responses and information about your child’s interests and activities.
A $50 application fee is due when you submit.
Step 2: Request Recommendations & Transcripts
Recommendations help us understand your child’s approach to learning, relationships with others, and contributions to their school community.
Within the online application, enter the names and email addresses of your child’s current English teacher, math teacher, and school counselor. Once you submit the application, each person will receive an email inviting them to complete the recommendation electronically.
At the same time you will be able to sign the transcript release form, which authorizes your child’s school to share their academic records with STA.
Step 3: Apply for Financial Assistance (If Needed)
We encourage families seeking tuition assistance to complete a separate Blackbaud Financial Assistance application to be considered for need-based aid.
You will need to submit your 2025 federal income tax return, W-2 forms, and any applicable schedules if self-employed.
