Clubs & Activities

CLUB FRIDAY

The co-curricular program at St. Thomas Aquinas gives students opportunities to explore their interests, develop their talents, and build meaningful connections with classmates and faculty and staff beyond the classroom. Educating the whole student means supporting their academic, spiritual, social, physical, moral, and artistic growth, and our co-curricular offerings are an important part of that experience.

Our robust program includes a wide variety of clubs and activities offered during the school day through our Saints Block Advisory Program, as well as after school. Students are encouraged to get involved in opportunities that align with their interests while discovering new passions, developing their skills, and sharing their talents with others.

Club fairs are held at the beginning and middle of each semester, giving students the opportunity to explore the many options available. Each club then meets six times throughout the semester, with teachers offering the same club twice to accommodate different grade levels—freshmen and sophomores in one session and juniors and seniors in another. This structure allows every student to participate and explore a range of opportunities.

Take some time to explore our clubs and activities for this school year and discover where your interests can take you!

Environmental Club

In this club, you can get outside, explore the environment around our school, and tackle real local problems that affect our community. We will explore everything from birding to upcycling, water quality to car emissions, and have a lot of fun along the way!

Granite State Challenge

Test your knowledge in history, science, literature, pop culture, and more as we prepare to represent STA on New Hampshire PBS’s Granite State Challenge. The team will compete at the Super Sunday qualifying event on Sunday, November 15. Read more here.

Intramural Sports

This session, we’ll play touch football, soccer, team handball, Ultimate Frisbee, and Bonogo Ball. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll head indoors for ESPN-style games and challenges.

CLUB 27 (SENIORS)

Club 27 is the ultimate seniors-only relaxation spot—a place to play games, listen to music, hang out with friends, and unwind.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Club

Rock Band is a collaborative, hands-on club for students who already play an instrument or sing and want to take their musicianship to the next level. The focus is on making music together: jamming, improvising, learning and arranging songs, experimenting with different styles, and developing a stronger understanding of basic music theory. This is not a beginner instrument-instruction club; rather, it is a place for musicians to play, experiment, create, and have fun making music together.

Basketball Club

Basketball Club is a space for students who love to play and improve their game. Members can shoot around, practice their skills, and play competitive half-court games with friends. Whether you’re experienced or just getting started, everyone is welcome to join, get active, and enjoy basketball. Come hang out and have a great time!

Yearbook

Are you creative and want to capture events around campus? STA’s Yearbook club members will gain hands-on experience in photography, journalism, and graphic design as they build next year’s edition. Join this club to tell OUR story!

The Value of a Dollar

The Value of a Dollar is a club designed to help students develop practical financial skills they can use throughout their lives. The club will explore essential financial concepts such as creating and maintaining a budget, saving money, investing, understanding credit and debt, managing a bank account, paying taxes, and making informed financial decisions. Students will also examine real-world financial decisions, including how to buy and finance a car, understand insurance, plan for college and future expenses, and make responsible spending choices. Through discussions, activities, and real-life scenarios, this club will give students the knowledge and confidence needed to make smart financial decisions and build a strong financial future.

M.U.N.S.T.A

MUNSTA provides S.T.A. students with an opportunity to hone their research, writing, and debate skills while representing the international and global community. Model U.N. competes in multiple conferences throughout the academic year at different schools with the goal of students participating in diplomacy, international relations, and teamwork by role-playing as part of different simulated UN committees.

Though not required, this club also meets weekly after school to supplement our time and efforts discussing, debating, and learning about International Relations.

Caribbean Dance Team

Learn two of the Caribbean’s most popular dances: bachata and merengue! No dance experience is necessary—just bring your positive energy and enthusiasm for exploring a new culture.

Admission Ambassador Club

The Admissions Ambassador Club is a student leadership organization dedicated to welcoming prospective students and families and helping them experience the community, mission, and spirit of the school firsthand.  Ambassadors serve as student representatives of the school, working alongside the Admissions Office.

Strength & Conditioning Club

Interested in getting stronger, learning your way around the weight room, or improving your workouts? Strength & Conditioning Club will give students an opportunity to explore the fundamentals of resistance training in a fun and supportive environment. We’ll cover topics such as proper lifting technique, gym equipment, exercise selection, workout programming, and basic principles of strength and fitness. Students of all experience levels are welcome, whether you are an athlete, already enjoy lifting, or have never picked up a weight before.  Meetings will include a mix of discussion and hands-on activities, with opportunities to visit the Fitness Center and put what we learn into practice. The goal is to help students build confidence in the gym, learn safe and effective training habits, and discover ways to make strength training an enjoyable part of an active lifestyle.

Spanish Club

Spanish Club will offer students a great opportunity to explore and experience aspects of Hispanic Culture. We will be viewing short videos regarding the cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries. When possible, we will be tasting Hispanic food that’s authentic to specific Spanish-speaking countries. We will also facilitate Spanish games to incorporate the Spanish language in addition to the cultural aspects we will be covering. Students must be enrolled in Spanish this year to participate.

Healthy Stress Management

Join the Healthy Stress Management club to learn and try a variety of tools and tips to help reduce and cope with stress. We will have activities to try, like guided meditation, taking a walk outside for movement and fresh air, and coloring to settle our busy minds and exercise creativity. Come with your own thoughts on this topic as there will also be time to learn from each other.

What Makes This Song Great?

We will listen to a new piece of music each week.  We will discuss why it’s great… or not-so-great!  The focus will be on music that you might never have heard, but it will be interesting!

Girls Debate Club

Join fellow female students for thoughtful, engaging debates on topics that matter. This club is open to female students only; contact student representatives Mallory Baker ‘27 or Claire Harris ‘27 with any questions.
