For more than 25 years, St. Thomas Aquinas High School has welcomed students from around the world. International students enrich our classrooms and community by sharing their cultures, perspectives, and experiences.
Through challenging academics, caring educators, and a supportive host family network, students have opportunities to grow, build friendships, and prepare for their future. Students may attend STA for one semester, one academic year, or up to four years.

How to Apply
STA partners with Study Six International Services to guide international students and their families through the application process and support their experience at STA.
To request an application, contact info@studysix.com.
Along with your completed application, please submit:
- School transcripts from the past three years, including original documents and English translations
- Two letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, tutors, counselors, or other educators who know you well
- English proficiency test results: TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or ELTiS
- A copy of your passport
- A recent photograph
What Happens Next?
- Submit your application and required documents to info@studysix.com.
- Participate in an online interview so we can learn about your interests, goals, and readiness for studying at STA.
- Receive your admission decision. Accepted students will receive an official acceptance letter from STA.
- Complete the requirements for your Form I-20. Our international program team will guide you through this step.
- Apply for your student visa through the appropriate U.S. embassy or consulate.

Become a Host Family
Share your home. Discover another culture. Build a lasting connection.
Hosting an international student is an opportunity to share everyday life, support a young person’s education, and welcome a new perspective into your home. STA’s international program and host family network are managed by Study Six, a New Hampshire-based international program provider. Host families receive training, ongoing support, and a monthly stipend.

How to Become a Host Family
- Express your interest by contacting info@studysix.com or completing the online host family application.
- Submit photos of your family, home, and the student’s bedroom.
- Complete background checks for all household members age 18 and older.
- Meet with a Student Liaison Officer for an in-person home visit.
- Complete online training and onboarding with support from Study Six.
- Welcome your matched student(s) and help them settle into life in the United States.
