Teacher teaches basic skills to new freshmen.
English teacher, Mrs. Collins, shares tips and skills with incoming freshmen.

One of the many special things about St. Thomas Aquinas High School is the care our faculty takes for each and every student. Each young man and woman is known by name and cherished for his/her unique personality, interests and skills.

The St. Thomas Aquinas educational journey begins from the moment a student is accepted and never truly ends. Even after graduation, once a Saint- always a Saint.

This week, our faculty and staff are busily preparing for the 2017-18 school year. Part of that preparation means meeting with incoming freshmen and sharing some suggestions and skills to help them adjust to this new season of their lives. As part of the “Survival Skills” course, English teacher Mrs. Collins introduces freshmen to academic study skills that will assist them in acclimating to STA’s standards. Organizational skills, time management ideas and test preparation tips all help soothe new Saints’ nerves.

Beginning a new school can be daunting but at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, we strive to transform the experience into one of excitement. For it is in giving that we receive and we are very happy to soon be welcoming a brand new group of freshmen students into our STA home.
