A Successful Ending

This week, St. Thomas Aquinas celebrated its Boys Soccer season with great applause.

Each year, the United Soccer Coaches awards a Team Academic award to high schools whose athletes have an average a 3.25 GPA. STA’s soccer team has earned this award 9 out of 13 times, holding the record for the most awards given to a Boys Soccer team in the state of NH.

The NH Soccer Coaches Association also recognizes Senior Scholar Athletes (seniors who have a GPA greater than a 3.25 and who play varsity soccer). ALL SEVEN of our seniors earned this recognition: Connor Welts, Jake Ford, Aaron Broom, Eric Sigurdsson, Jackson Maness, Aidan Faulstich, and Chase Gagnon.

The NH Soccer Coaches Association also selected Chase Gagnon as the Division 3 First Team All-State Goal Keeper.

The United Soccer Coaches organization also selects one senior to receive the Senior Excellence award. Requirements include making significant contributions to the team, consistently projecting a positive attitude, displaying team leadership, and representing the finest attributes of a team player.  This year’s winner is Jake Ford.

Last but certainly not least, Coach Dave Salvacion was recognized for 15 years of service as a St. Thomas Boys Assistant Soccer Coach.  Coach Ross Suleski '10 was recognized for 5 years of service as a St. Thomas Boys Assistant Soccer Coach.

We are deeply proud of these athletes and coaches’ effort and contributions during this fall season of 2019.

A special note of gratitude to Coach Scott Suleski who "bleeds blue" in all ways- always. Saints Pride!
