STA Announces New Field Hockey Coach

Lindsay Dobecki former Assistant Coach at Berwick Academy has been named the new Field Hockey Coach at St. Thomas Aquinas.  She brings a wealth of knowledge as a former High School athlete, College Athlete, and Coach.

The former Scarboro, Maine graduate went on to Merrimack College where she played four years of NCAA DII Field Hockey before graduating in 2017.  She went on to coach Club Field Hockey and then at Berwick Academy as an Assistant Coach.

St. Thomas Aquinas Athletic Director David Morissette remarked,  “I am excited to add Lindsay to our coaching staff.  She is a young coach who has the same vision we have here at St. Thomas.  On and off the field, her values were a perfect fit and I know she will continue to build a solid Field Hockey program here at STA.”

Lindsay Dobecki stated, “It is an honor to be joining the St. Thomas Aquinas community.  I am very much looking forward to the upcoming season and to work on further growing the Field Hockey program.

Former Coach Michaela Franey had to step away for family reasons.  “I personally want to thank Michaela for all she has done at St. Thomas Aquinas and with the program,” said Morissette.  He added, "Michaela did an amazing job for years and we will miss her presence.  We are all excited for her as she embarks on her next journey taking care of her wonderful family.”
