All-State Music Festivals: NH Music Educators Association (NHMEA) sponsor jazz and classical all-state. To audition for the festivals, NHMEA rules require students to be an active member of their music program.  If you have any questions about what these festivals involve, please email Mrs. LaForce blaforce@stalux.org

Coffee Houses: students have the chance to perform their favorite songs, dance, juggle and perform their own unique artistic talent! Students must audition for coffee houses. Listen for announcements for details or see Mrs. Kate Collins if you have any questions. Coffee houses are in September, January and May.

CLUBS

Rock Band: Starting in October, there will be a club for students interested in playing in a rock band (or two). You must already play an instrument. Practices would be on Fridays after school (every other week). If interested, see Mrs. LaForce to sign up.

CLUB/MINISTRY

Music Ministry: Music is a very important part of our school Masses. Music Ministry practices during club blocks and on Mass days. All voices and instruments are welcome. See Mrs. LaForce for more information.

ELECTIVES (meet during the school day):

Guitar and/or Piano: No knowledge needed! Learn the basics of playing and the fundamentals of music theory.

Piano 2: This class offers students a chance to focus on their playing. Class time is dedicated to practicing. Students must have at least two years of private study or have taken piano.

Music Theory: This class explores the fundamentals of music from pitches and scales to harmony and composition.
