Saints Taking Action

Monday, October 21, 2013

One of the key aspects of the St. Thomas Aquinas High School mission is to instill in our students a heart for service. Our students are encouraged to be active members of their local communities and to make a difference by sharing their talents.

Building upon last year's successful Day of Service, the 2013 Saints Taking Action event is set for Monday, October 21st.

Last year...

  • Over 60 organizations answered our offer to help this year!
  • Nearly 100 parent volunteers assisted us in Lighting the Way!
  • 8th graders from St. Mary Academy in Dover and St. Patrick School in Portsmouth joined us this year in our effort to help neighbors in our community!
Painting, landscaping, cleaning, visiting nursing home patients, picking up the beach, St. Thomas students learned that people working together as a community can make a difference.
