National Champions
April 3, 2008STA has many students who participate on teams and in programs not related to school, often with outstanding results! We recently learned, for example, that two of our students, Samantha Weinstein and Lizzie Metcalf, went out to compete in a national cheerleading competition in Palm Springs, California this past weekend.
Their team, Primetime Allstars, took first place in the senior level four division and second place in the senior level three division. In a case of "it's a small world," Primetime Allstars is a gym co-owned by STA alum Valerie Cunio.
The girls were excited to win this national competition. They were in fourth place after the preliminary round and came back to win after performing a flawless routine in the final round. STA sends heartfelt congratulations to the team and to the gym on their accomplishments!
