Frosh Face History

March 19, 2008

The class of 2011 boarded buses yesterday for a trip to Boston to see the Facing History and Ourselves exhibit called Choosing to Participate at the Boston Public Library. The exhibit is an interactive multimedia exhibit created by the Brookline-based international non-profit Facing History and Ourselves. The presentation is centered on four very different moments that took place in recent history in which people faced tough decisions and situations. The exhibit often inspires the audience to ask "What would I have done?" The day also included an interactive performance by the Urban Improv Company, which invited STA students into its skits to illustrate the tough decisions people can be faced with in a number of contexts.

CTP, which first launched in Boston in 1998, has traveled extensively throughout the US. The exhibit is open to the public during the Boston Public Library’s normal hours. To learn more about CTP, guided tours and to view a calendar of special events, visit their website.
