Laverne Burridge has been the STA school nurse since 1986. Before that, she was a charge nurse in the Emergency Department of Portsmouth Hospital.

Mrs. Burridge was the SADD moderator for 20 years and still organizes and implements the Last Blast, the chemical-free graduation party given to the STA graduates. She has also been very active behind the scenes with STA Drama productions, most recently doing some of the costuming for last year's production of "Beauty and the Beast."

Mrs. Burridge lives in Eliot with her husband of 38 years. Her roles as nurse, mother and grandmother keep her very busy indeed. Some of her passions include travel, shopping and sewing.
