Social Studies
Mr. Thomson is the chair of the Social Studies Department and teaches AP Government and Politics in the fall, Economics, and U. S. History for the entire year. He also serves as moderator of the History Club.
Mr. Thomson joined the STA faculty in the fall of 2004 after a 29 year career as an Economist with the United States government. He holds a BA degree in Economics from St. Anselm College, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Northeastern University. He also has done additional graduate work in Economics.
An avid Red Sox fan, he still cannot believe he lived to see the Red Sox actually win a World Series.
Mr. Thomson lives in Kittery with his wife, Coralee where he serves as both a member of the Kittery Town Council, and a "living example" to his AP US Government students. They are the proud STA parents of Patrick, ’02, David, ’04, and Ellen, ’06.
