Ed Tinney joined the STA community in 2000. After earning a B.A. in history from Angelo State University in 1991, Ed spent nine years teaching English and history at San Angelo Central High School. There he became an integral contributor to the district's Gifted and Talented Program team and a UIL state-champion spelling and vocabulary coach.

Upon moving to the Seacoast area, Ed gratefully found a place with the STA English Department and is honored to be part of such a talented and dedicated team of professionals.

Currently he teaches English 9 Honors, English 10 CP, and AP English Language and Composition. He is directing the fall play for the third year.

In his spare time, Ed enjoys traveling, reading biographies and history books, and searching for the perfect dim sum experience.
