Sports

JV Lacrosse practice will begin at 12:30 today.

All freshman baseball players who can come - we will practice today from 12:30 - 2:00.

The track team will practice today at Dover High School. The bus will leave from school promptly at 12:15 and drop off at the school. Athletes will need to provide their own rides home after practice.

On Saturday the STA Girls and Boys Track Teams participated in the Coe-Brown Black Bear Invitational in Northwood. Kaitlyn D'Orazio set a meet record in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:14.9 taking 1st place. Rachael Schneider set a meet record in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:19.5 while taking 1st place, Rachel also broke the 1600 meter record while finishing in second place in that event. Bill Regan finished in 6th place in the shot put throwing 40' 4". Brittany Colford finished in 6th place overall in the 3200 meter run with a time of 12:22.6, and the boys 4x800 meter relay team consisting of Rob McNeil, Brian Fanning, Evan Thompson, and Brendan Colford finished in 6th place overall with a time of 10:00.1.

Seniors

Attention Seniors: There will be Senior Video work sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 2:30pm in ND201. All are welcome even if you haven't attended a meeting yet. Ideas and help are always welcome.

The Senior Video committee also needs photos, especially photos from when you were young. Please stop by ND201 with any photos of yourself or your friends.

The debate continues! All are welcome to attend a debate on the war in Iraq tomorrow, Tuesday, in room 406 at 2:30. Whether you believe we should stay, leave, or something else, all opinions are welcome. This is a republic and everyone should voice their opinions! Refreshments will be provided.

All freshman, sophomore & juniors who are interested in running for student advisory board next year must attend a break meeting tomorrow in ND401.

Model UN delegates: please check your STA e-mail for information about the conference, and bring a copy of your position paper to the meeting on Wednesday.

The Spring Coffeehouse is fast approaching, so it's time to polish up get your act and get ready for auditions this Friday. Coffeehouse is open to all STA performers, and new acts are welcome. So if you sing, dance, play an instrument or do stand-up comedy, there’s a place for you!. Auditions will be held this Friday after school. Sign up your act and read the instructions for auditions on the bulletin board opposite room 103. Remember that coffeehouse is unplugged, and acts must be well rehearsed before the audition. See Mrs. Collins if you have questions.

The first-ever STA Film Festival is scheduled for Friday, May 30th. Filmmakers are reminded that this Friday, May 16th is the deadline for submitting entries. You may submit your entry on DVD or on a flash drive. Pick up the entry form on the bulletin board opposite Room 103. Please see Mrs. Collins if you have any questions.

Attention Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors: It's time to reserve your copy of Yearbook 2008! Every year, we sell out all our books -- so to be sure to get your copy, stop by the Main Office beginning today with a $10 deposit. The total cost of the Yearbook is $50. We will take pre-orders until May 30th, and the Yearbooks go on sale starting Friday, June 6th. Unreserved copies will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. (Note: Seniors do not have to reserve a Yearbook; they will be distributed on Senior Night.)
