 | Adult Education in Theology
During this Year of Faith, St. Thomas is beginning a new program of evening adult education classes in theology. The purpose of this program is to offer the Seacoast Region opportunities for continuing education in the Catholic Faith. The courses will be aimed at those who are interested in deepening their understanding of their faith, Scripture and the Church. It may also be of interest to Catechists who would like to deepen their understanding of the issues they teach to children, adolescents, or adults in the R.C.I.A. Course offerings will depend upon interest. Each course will last 6 weeks, meeting once a week from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The cost is $60. Cost reductions available for financial hardship.
The third class will be on Understanding the Bible: Genesis and Exodus. We will use the books of Genesis and Exodus as examples as we also consider issues regarding interpretation of the Bible.
At St. Thomas the dates will be Thursday Evenings, 4/11, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23 and 5/30. We will meet from 6 to 8 pm in Room 107 near the Atrium entrance.
At Sacred Hearts Parish in Bradford, MA, the dates will be Tuesday Evenings, 4/16, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, and 5/28. We will meet in the Rectory.
