Founded in 1960, St. Thomas Aquinas is a Catholic, coeducational secondary school located in the seacoast of New Hampshire, operating under the auspices of the Diocese of Manchester. St. Thomas provides an intensive college preparatory education. The New England Association of School and College and the State of New Hampshire accredits the school.

Student Body

Students come from 64 Communities in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. While primarily serving Catholics from New Hampshire, students of varied religious, social and academic backgrounds are welcomed into the school community. St. Thomas enrolls students in grades 9 through 12.

Faculty

The St. Thomas faculty consists of 60 persons, 45 of whom are full-time classroom teachers. Our guidance department consists of 5 full-time guidance counselors. Among our faculty are three members dedicated to technology and to the maintenance of the school’s website.

Honors Program

At St. Thomas, College Prep courses are considered the standard. Such courses are demanding and provide a strong preparation for later studies. St. Thomas does offer an extensive honors and AP program for those students who demonstrate superior academic ability and motivation. Honors sections are available in English, Accelerated, Integrated Math (consisting of Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II) , Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Freshman Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Western Civilization, U.S. History, French III, French IV, French V, Latin III, Latin IV, Spanish III, Spanish IV, Spanish V, and Studio Art. Advanced Placement AP Courses are offered in English Language, English Literature, Calculus I (AB), Calculus II (BC), Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, U.S. Government and Politics, U.S. History, and Music Theory. AP courses are college-level courses which prepare students for AP exams administered each May. Most colleges award college credits for students with qualifying grades.

Tuition 2007-2008

Tuition for the 2007-2008 school year is $8,500 per student. Financial Aid is available to qualifying families. If interested, families should contact the admissions office for a financial aid package subsequent to acceptance.
